Since 1995, I’ve dedicated my life to exploring and sharing the wild beauty of the Ría Lagartos Biosphere Reserve — a place where flamingos, mangroves, and calm waters reflect the soul of Yucatán.
What started as a simple love for nature has become a lifelong mission: to help travelers see this landscape through the eyes of someone who lives it every day. Over the years, I’ve guided photographers, families, and nature lovers from around the world — each one leaving with new stories, new wonder, and a deeper respect for the natural world.
For me, being a guide is much more than leading tours. It’s about teaching awareness, sharing connection, and inspiring care for the fragile ecosystems that surround us.

To keep Río Lagartos wild, genuine, and alive — by offering small, personal, and responsible experiences that support local families and protect the reserve for future generations.
There are many challenges but I am optimistic that changes can be made if the political will can be found. Local people that live in to the protected areas need to pressure and support their politicians to help them to find the courage to make the changes that are necessary
